Clarks Museum and Archive

The Exhibitions Team has been hired to develop a new museum and archive complex for the world-famous shoe business, C & J Clark Ltd. The new museum will use one of the most comprehensive collections of its type to highlight the history of shoes and showmaking, as well as tell the fascinating stories behind one of Britain's best-loved brands.

To date, the project has been developed to architectural design Stage B. The Team has compiled strategic, business and operational plans; devised an interpretation and learning strategy for the galleries; produced a framework for a public programme; recruited an architectural team; commissioned and delivered a survey to gauge interest and price thresholds; created a photographic security survey of over 3,000 objects and provided the client with job descriptions and a team structure to recruit new staff.
