Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
The museum opened to the public in 1983 as a project started by volunteers from the local fire services. It has been driven since then by the dedication and enthusiasm of its members.
As part of a full-scale strategic study to explore the possibility of future expansion, Sian is supporting the primary consultant for the study, Emma Chaplin, by providing a range of options for the interpretation and display of the collections.
